Course Description

Using a rehearsal format, this course will teach the basics of improvisation for a beginner.
While improvisation enhances acting skills, and actors make great improvisers, no acting experience is necessary or expected for this course.
The improvisation skills you will explore include: “Yes, and” (acceptance and building), collaboration, listening, committing to choices with
confidence, verbal and physical communication, the ability to adapt and problem-solve, focus, trust, character development, and scene building.
Theater games will be used for developing these skills as well as for performance pieces.
