Course Description

This course examines the basic principles of blueprint reading. Topics include line types, orthographic projections, dimensioning methods, and notes. Students learn how to interpret different types of blueprints and schematics used in various engineering, technical or industrial environments. Students interpret the different types of standard symbols and abbreviations found on the drawings and schematics, such as electrical or mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams. Senior adult and disabled retiree course fee waivers apply. Transcript available.
