Course Description

Foundational-level CLA Certification - focuses on the world of logistics and the global supply chain. Students will examine the logistics environment through training in Information Systems and the 4.0 Technologies. Students will learn safety principles, safe material handling and equipment operations, and quality control principles. Other topics will include work communication, teamwork, and good workplace conduct to solve problems. At the course conclusion students will complete the Certified Logistics Associate assessment based upon MSSC’s industry-defined, nationally validated skill standards. Students must pass the CLA exam to be eligible to register for the second course in the program- Certified Logistics Technician (CLT). It is strongly recommended that students be at an 8th-grade math and 10th-grade reading level. Textbook required and included in the cost of the class.
