Course Description

This course prepares students to take the Maryland Home Improvement License Examination. A secondary objective is to familiarize students with the home improvement contractor business. Topics include home improvement law, the Door-to-Door Sales Act, labor laws, safety regulations, payroll taxes, statutory liens of real property, business practices, finances, and cost estimating. Text required. Senior adult and disabled retiree course fee waivers apply. Transcript available.
