Course Description

This course introduces students to the basics of welding repair skills, equipment, and accessories of welding.  A focus on basic safety practices, understanding welding symbols and hands on welding training will be emphasized.  Students will learn Gas Metal Arc Welding, GMAW or MIG, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, GTAW or TIG, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, SMAW or Stick, Flux Cored Arc Welding, FCAW, and Oxyfuel Cutting, OFC.
