Course Description

This course introduces students to basic milling machine operations and develops the skills needed to safely set up, operate, and maintain milling equipment. Emphasis is placed on safety, machine components, workholding, tool selection, machine setup, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and fundamental milling operations. Through hands on projects, students will produce precision parts to specified tolerances while applying industry standard inspection and quality control practices.
