Course Description

This course is designed to teach how to perform improvisational theater. Using a rehearsal format, learn the basics of improvisation for a beginner. Skills learned focus on “Yes and” acceptance and building, collaboration, listening, committing to choices with confidence. Verbal and physical communication, the ability to adapt and problem-solve, focus, trust, character development, and scene building are key components. Theater games will be used for developing these skills as well as for performance pieces.
