Course Description

Learn about the roles, regulations, and correct practices in performing the responsibilities of a new notary public. Topics include a brief history, Maryland rules, practical advice, avoiding problems, new developments, and performing competently as a notary. This course meets the Maryland State regulations for course of study for those becoming a new notary public and for those renewing their notary commission. For those wishing to apply as a new notary, an examination will be administered at the end of the course. Must be at least 18 years old. Senior adult and disabled retiree course fee waivers apply.
