Course Description

Take this online course and become a Certified Histotechnician (HT) without traveling to a college campus. If you are a high school graduate (or equivalent), at least 18 years of age, and are employed in a pathology laboratory, this course may be for you. Complete all didactic coursework online. Select your own certified HT or HTL mentor, and complete the clinical component in your local laboratory. Enroll anytime during this semester and finish the program at your own pace. National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) approved. Includes preparation for the ASCP HT Registry exam. Textbooks required. Prerequisites include successful completion of high school or college level biology, chemistry, and math. Web registration unavailable. Must have permission of course coordinator to enroll.
