Course Description

CompTIA's Security+ certification is required for entry-level government jobs in IT. This certification is an intermediate level certification and requires a basic understanding of IT vocabulary and principles, especially networking. Although there are no prerequisites to enrolling in this course, it is highly recommended that you pursue the A+, the Network+ certification, or have a background in IT before taking this course. This curriculum prepares students for this difficult industry exam. Security+ validates the holders understanding of threats; attacks and vulnerabilities; technology and tools to mitigate risks; architecture and design; identity and access management; risk management; and cryptography and PKI.
