Course Description

Explore the history of beer brewing. Learn the terminology and the four components of brewing- water, yeast, hops and grain. Apply the principles of sanitation and safety, fermentation, science, technology, laboratory testing, evaluation/flavor analysis, packaging, and storage. Operation and governmental regulations, and business entrepreneurship will be discussed. Textbook purchase required. Must be at least 21 years old by the first date of class.
