This program will introduce students to the basic skills, equipment, and accessories of welding. Students will learn about safety practices and understanding welding symbols, as well as gain hands-on experience. Students will learn about all types of welding: Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW or MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW or TIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW or Stick), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW, and Oxyfuel Cutting (OFC). Students that take this full program will complete a weld for AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification.
