Paramedics are highly trained medical professionals who typically work full-time in a physically strenuous, stressful job that frequently involves quick thinking in sometimes life-or-death situations. They respond to emergency calls, perform medical services, and transport patients to medical facilities.
Upon completion of this program you will be able to sit for the National Registry Exam to become a certified paramedic. The largest employers of paramedics are ambulance services, local government and hospitals.
The Harford Community College Paramedic Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, upon recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions, (CoA EMSP) and is in good standing.
