Course Description

Spend the day exploring the grounds and home of Thomas Jefferson. Two guided tours are included at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The seasonal Gardens and Grounds Tour explores Monticello's restored gardens and discusses Jefferson's lifelong interest in botany as well as the enslaved gardeners who maintained the landscape. The Slavery at Monticello Tour focuses on the experiences of the enslaved people who lived and labored on Mulberry Row, the industrial hub and "Main Street" of the 5000 acre plantation. Fees include round-trip transportation aboard a motor coach, a boxed breakfast and two guided tours. Lunch is on your own
