Course Description

Apply the knowledge and skills you learned in the theory and skills lab components of the Nurse Refresher Series in a 60-hour supervised clinical setting. Various locations may be used, and the instructor will work with you and a preceptor. Your experience will include the application of the nursing process, management of patient care, delegation, documentation, and medication administration. You will need a uniform, stethoscope, and a watch with a second hand. Documentation of the following information must be provided prior to the first day of class: a current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS CPR card; proof of childhood immunizations; a negative tuberculosis test; a flu and Covid-19 vaccine; and current liability and health insurance.
