Course Description

Are you an RN interested in maintaining or reactivating your license? This Nurse Refresher Series fulfills the Maryland Board of Nursing requirements for nurses returning to active practice. The curriculum consists of 80 hours of theory, 8 hours of skills lab, and 60 hours clinical training. This hybrid course is the theory component. Content includes assessment skills, medication update, medical equipment, clinical specialties, standard precautions, management of intravenous lines, legal issues, and documentation. You must register for and successfully complete the theory, skills lab, and clinical portions of this program to be considered for a reactivation of your Maryland nursing license. Textbooks are online resources. Concurrent enrollment in Nurse Refresher Skills Lab and Nurse Refresher Clinical required. Senior adult and disabled tuition waivers apply. Transcript available.

Section Notes

Course Cost: Tuition: $960; Fee $180. The first class is a mandatory full day on campus. Theory classes are online with exams in-person. Must also enroll in NR 1096 & NR 1077.
