RE 1044 - American Home Inspectors Training
Course Description
In partnership with American Home Inspectors Training (AHIT), this comprehensive course prepares students to conduct a professional examination of a house. Students will experience an in-depth look at each component of a house and learn from actual case studies. Topics include how to assess the basic structure and basement; how to detect internal structural problems; assessing plumbing and waste systems; heating and ventilation; and exteriors issues including decks, steps, railings, flashing and trim. Other sessions will cover inspecting eaves, roofing and uncovering problems in driveways and landscaping. Students will learn about flat, built-up and single-ply construction. Students will also cover the nuances of marketing within the industry and local economy. Books and materials will be provided. For information on how to register, email: training@harford.edu.
