Course Description

Do you have a pile full of data and are not sure what to do with it next? Does the “signal” in your data look like the “noise”? Do you need to convert data into useful information for decision makers? If the answer any of these questions is yes, then this course maybe for you. The purpose of these sessions is to look at what the data is telling us. Topics include measures of precision and accuracy, illustrating data with charts and tables, discrete and continuous frequency distributions, testing hypotheses to some level of statistical significance, and optimization techniques. In addition to analysis theory, one benefit of the course is a solid foundation in using Excel for day-to-day analysis of data.
