Course Description

The objective of this training is to introduce the basics of the refrigeration system as it applies to comfort cooling. This course will cover such topics as: the refrigeration cycle and its components, refrigerant types and issues, and basic building refrigeration systems. What is refrigeration? Learn the technical skills to operate a mechanical refrigeration system from function to installation and more. Learn to install and service all types of cooling equipment. Must take Basic Refrigeration or have instructor approval prior to taking this class. Text required. Senior adult and disabled retiree course fee waivers apply. Transcript available.
