Course Description

Are people at your job tossing around statistical terms like standard deviation, normal distribution, and t-test, but you are not sure what they really mean? Would you like to use these terms knowing what they actually mean? Or in the near future, will you be required to take a formal statistics course, but are dreading the pressure of a credit course. If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then course may assist you. Discussed will be measures of central tendency such as mean, median, and mode; measures of variation; graphical representation of data; some probability distributions such as normal, t, and chi-squared; estimating population parameters from sample data; hypothesis testing; plus least squares regression, and linear correlation. With this course you will gain statistical literacy in (believe it or not) an enjoyable setting.
