Course Description

Have to decide which business option is best? Know that numbers are involved but unsure how to process them? If so, course may assist you. Discussed will be the theory of solving linear equations, basic matrix algebra, and geometric methods linear programming and optimization problems. Throughout we will apply the theory to a variety of applications such as breakeven pricing, optimal mix of machine use in production, minimizing shipping costs from multiple warehouses, and maximizing profit with pollution control restraints. Microsoft Excel will be used at the end of the course to do the computational lifting, but no previous experience in Excel is required.
