Course Description

This course will take a multifaceted approach to studying World War I, looking at not only military, but also cultural, political, social, and economic aspects of the conflict. It will discuss the ways in which the war out there influenced life on the home front, and how the war has influenced life on the home front, and how the war has been portrayed and remembered. Attention will also be paid to the ways in which both the war and the peace helped to shape the subsequent century of world history. No Textbook required. Senior adult and disabled retiree tuition waivers apply.
