This program introduces you to basic welding skills, equipment, and accessories, while learning safety practices, understanding welding symbols and gaining hands-on experience. Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW or MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GMAW or TIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW or Stick), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW, and Oxyfuel Cutting (OFC) are covered. Students who complete the program complete a weld for AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification.
