2 Courses Required

Because of the personal nature of the job, a certified nursing assistant must have excellent people skills and the ability to be compassionate and enjoy helping others. During training, students participate in a 66-hour clinical at an area healthcare facility.

Approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON), this program enables students to apply for certification with the MBON and take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) examination for certification as both a CNA and a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA).

The approximate cost of this program is $1,953 and includes Healthcare Provider BLS CPR certification, fingerprinting, fee for the NNAAP exam, and MBON registration.
